Letter in support of the Many Hands Sustainability Center
July 16th, 2008
I have been a working shareholder on Many Hands Organic Farm for more than ten years. I have paid half and worked for half of my share.
At first when Jack Kittredge and Julie Rawson started hiring young men from "Almost Home", a transitional residence for the men who had been in jail, I was uncomfortable, uncertain about the safety of the situation, as I believe many would be. I have come to appreciate the value of the transition program. The men have been good hard workers, extremely helpful, polite and considerate individuals. I am pleased to have been part of the program as I feel it is constructive and beneficial for the men and society.
